Please follow the instructions listed below to find your Computer Name when using the Windows 7 Operating System.
1. Click on the Start Menu Icon as shown below.
2. Click on "Search Programs and Files" as shown below.
3. Type in the word "Domain" and click the option "Show which domain your computer is on" circled below.
4. The Computer Name is circled below.
Please follow the steps below to find your Computer Name on a machine running Windows 8 or 10. Please note, these operating systems are similar but not identical. Some of the images may differ slightly when using Windows 8 but the process is the same.
1. Click on the Start Menu Icon as shown below.
2. Once the Start Menu appears, as shown below, simply begin typing the word "Domain".
3. Once the word domain has been typed the user should be presented with the option circled in the image below. Click it.
4. Once the user has clicked "Rename your PC or join a domain" the following screen will be presented. The computer name is circled.
